“My greatest passion is to help others succeed and become all that God has created them to be.”
With a breadth of experience in various aspects of ministry, education, and leadership, Dr. Rikki Hummel generously gives and leads from within. She sees every life task as ministry, understanding that God receives the glory when she works for His purpose. Rikki cares deeply about others’ success and makes every effort to be an encourager and cheerleader to all.
I consider myself a creative enthusiast who never stops dreaming or doing.
Like most, Rikki has wandered cavernous paths of doubt, shame, failure, and regret; but it’s through these experiences and life journey that she has been equipped to lead others and serve them in a way that only a broken believer can. Her “Dear God” journal spans 30 plus years and was the inspiration for not only her ministry but also her Blog. You will find some of her most intimate thoughts sprinkled throughout the website and Blog, including passages from a time when she exchanged her love for God with bitterness and distrust.

“I love exploring this wonderful state I’m privileged to call home.”
Currently, Rikki lives in a rural area in North Carolina with her husband and two dogs. Her favorite activities include Saturday morning drives and random stops at antique shops and thrift stores. She says, “I absolutely love that I can be at the beach or the mountains in under 2 hours and the fact that no matter where we travel in North Carolina, we can be sure of finding two things: southern hospitality and sweet tea.”
Rikki continues to serve others in her role as Graduate Program Director and Professor of Leadership with Heritage Bible College, Adjunct Faculty with Liberty University, and a Real Estate Broker which helps to fund she and her husband’s insidious desire to cruise 3-4 times per year. She also makes time to volunteer at her church and within her community. She’s a creative enthusiast who never stops dreaming or doing.
